Terms of Service
Last updated July 31, 2026
These terms apply when you order from Nancy's Bake House LLCthrough nancysbakehouse.com. Placing an order means you accept them. We’re a small home-scale bakery in The Woodlands, TX — these terms are written to be readable, not to trick you.
How ordering works
We bake in drops: a limited menu, a limited quantity, and a set pickup or delivery window. When a drop sells out, it’s sold out — we bake to the number ordered, not to a warehouse.
- Adding an item to your cart holds it for a short time. That hold is what keeps two people from buying the last loaf. If you don’t check out before the hold expires, the item goes back for someone else to buy.
- Your order is confirmed when payment succeeds (or, for cash-at-pickup orders, when you submit the order). Until then nothing is reserved for you.
- Prices and availability can change between drops. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
Payment
You can pay by card at checkout, or choose cash at pickup where we offer it. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive your card number. If you choose cash, your order is a commitment to show up and pay for it.
If a payment fails or is reversed, we may cancel the order and return the items to stock.
Pickup and delivery
- Pick up during your chosen window.Everything is baked fresh for that window. We’ll text you when your order is ready.
- Orders not picked up are not automatically refunded.Fresh food can’t be resold or kept. If something goes wrong, contact us — we are reasonable people and will work with you.
- Delivery is limited to our listed ZIP codesand to the window shown at checkout. Please make sure someone can receive the order; we can’t leave perishable food unattended indefinitely.
Cancellations, refunds, and problems
Because every item is baked to order for a specific drop, we generally can’t accept cancellations once baking has started. If you need to cancel, contact us as early as possible and we’ll do what we can.
If your order is wrong, missing, or not up to standard, tell us within 24 hoursand we’ll make it right — a refund, a replacement at the next drop, or a credit, whichever fits. If we cancel a drop or can’t fulfill your order, you get a full refund.
Food, allergens, and safety
Our kitchen handles wheat, gluten, eggs, dairy, butter, nuts, tree nuts, soy, and seeds. It is a shared kitchen and we cannot guarantee any item is free of any allergen, even if that ingredient isn’t listed for that item. Cross-contact is possible.
If you have a serious allergy or intolerance, please do not rely on item descriptions alone — contact us first, and use your own judgment. Baked goods are best eaten the day they’re picked up, and should be stored as described at pickup.
This food is made in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department.
Your account
You sign in with your phone number. Keep access to that number secure — anyone who can receive your verification codes can see your orders. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using your account. Don’t use the site to place fake or fraudulent orders, scrape it, attack it, or interfere with other customers’ ability to order.
We may suspend or cancel accounts and orders that abuse the site or repeatedly fail to pick up and pay for orders.
Reviews and content you post
If you post a review, keep it honest and about the food or the service. Don’t post anything unlawful, abusive, or that isn’t yours to post. We may decline to publish, edit for length, or remove reviews, and we may reply to them publicly. By posting, you allow us to display your review and the name you chose on the site.

Limits
We do our best, but we provide the site and our food as-is, without warranties beyond those the law requires and cannot be waived. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability for things that can’t legally be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute belongs in the courts serving Montgomery County, Texas.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. The terms in effect when you place an order are the ones that apply to that order.
